We are drowning in information. And, paradoxically, we must also weed out what we have no use for, such as junk mail. In other words, little time is left to discover what might truly interest us.
There is another phenomenon: the many media channels we are connected to spread ready-made thinking. Here too, everything must go fast, and whatever is ready to consume must be instantly digestible… So the way we explore a subject in depth has changed: we want to get to the essentials, whatever the medium.

Les Éditions de l’Isle are based in Saint-Barthélemy, in the French West Indies. The catalogue currently brings together six titles: spirituality, symbolism, memoir, travel writing, a novel and a thriller.
